Dorchester County has over 80 dirt roads which have been evaluated for dirt road paving prioritization as part of the Transportation Sales Tax Program. Each dirt road has been evaluated and ranked based on Council-approved Objective Ranking System. The ranking criteria considers the number of homes served by the road, system solution, technical difficulty, citizen support, and whether the road is along a school bus route.
View the locations and objective rankings of the dirt roads in the Dorchester County Dirt Roads Map.
